Making a Goblin Portrait With WED Clay

This was a fast, one-hour project, and was just an excuse for me to get my hands into my new WED Clay. I love that stuff - it's buttery, you can move it around fast on a portrait sculpture just to see how the expressions change, and it's just plain fun.

What will I do with my goblin now that it's done? Maybe nothing, or maybe I'll add some feathers and turn it into a wall mask. I'll probably just put the clay back in the bag and use it to make something else.

I had to order my WED Clay from amazon because my local pottery store doesn't carry it. You can find it here: http://amzn.to/2x970D5

WED Clay is less expensive than oil-based modeling clay, but you do need to be careful to not let it dry out too much.

If you'd like to look at the other weird and wonderful faces in Brian Froud's Goblin book, you can find it here: http://amzn.to/2wqJBKS

If you're interested in making a paper mache mask, my book shows you exactly how to do it: http://amzn.to/2iKvWLz
