Audi 80 EV Conversion - Part 7 - Leaf 24kWh Battery Pack Teardown
The 2015 Leaf 24kWh packs clamshell is prised open and the individual modules removed for repurposing in the #Audi8e
In this episode, I carry out a walkthrough on the disassembly of the Leaf pack, and its 48 separate modules, HV contactors, resistors, fuses, busbars and lots of copper and their place as upcycled, repurposed parts in the overall build.
Batt facts - This battery sits at ~380v and is made up of 48 Lithium-Ion modules, each module contains 4 x battery cell pouches. 0.5 kWh 8.3 v per module. I read 7.8v on the test of one module which is close to the nominal voltage of 7.5v. This 24kw pack from a scrapped 2015 Leaf is in very good 93.7% health, holding 380v and sitting at a state of charge (SOC) of 57%
