Raised Flower Box Made of Pallet WoodI #Lockdown Woodworking I Garden Bed I DIY

Today, you will find a step by step instruction disassembling a pallet to build a raised flower box. It's also called an elevated garden bed. In this project, I used the traditional Japanese technique called Shou Sugi Ban to preserve the wood from environmental effects. In America and Europe, it's known as wood-burning or wood carbonization. The benefits of this technique are making your wood project:
1. Rot-resistant
2. Pest Resistant
3. Weather Resistant
4. Fire Resistant

In this project, I used one wood pallet and a few cedar fence pickets. They were all reclaimed woods. After burning the entire flower box, I sealed it with using one coat of Oil-based polyurethane. Polyurethane protects wood from rain, pests, and rot. The size of the flower bed is as follows:
Height: 36"
Length: 47"
Width: 15"
Deepness of the box: 11". (At the beginning of the video, I cut the panels to make the deepness 15" but later I thought it will be too deep, so I removed one more panel from each side (not shown in the video) to make it 11".
Tools and Materials used:
1. Table saw
2. Miter saw
3. Circular saw
4. Crowbar
5. Hamer
6. Brad nailer
7. Oil-based Polyurethane
8. Propane Torch
9. Screws
10. Electric Drill
