"To Catch a Predator" host, TV personality and journalist, Chris Hansen, did not show up to court in Shiawassee County Thursday, leading to his short arrest.

A bench warrant was issued for Hansen's arrest for failure to appear in court, Shiawassee County Prosecuting Attorney Scott Koerner confirmed with USA Today.

Hansen was asked to present video evidence related to an October 2020 sex-trafficking sting operation with local police — where three suspects were arrested at a hotel in Owosso after allegedly attempting to have sex with minors between the ages of 13 and 15.

Hansen turned himself in Friday and was released the same day, according to USA Today.

Hansen stated in an Instagram post that his absence was a misunderstanding and the issue has been resolved.

Hansen was a no-show during a recent court hearing where he was supposed to turn over more footage related to a police sting operation.

The 61-year-old reported to the Shiawassee County jail in Corunna – some 65 miles northwest of Detroit – and was released after being warned that he has 14 days to produce the full video of the sting, prosecutor Scott Koerner said.
