If you want to require a password every time someone opens Chrome on your computer, you’ll need a "Browser Lock" extension.

Go to the Chrome Web Store: Search for an extension like "LockPW" or "Set password for your browser".

Install the Extension: Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension.

Initial Setup: A new tab will usually open automatically. If not, click the Puzzle Piece icon (Extensions) in the top right and click the extension name.

Set Your Password: * Follow the prompts to create your "Master Password."

Crucial: Don't forget this! If you do, you may have to reinstall Chrome to get back in.

Configure Auto-Lock: In the extension settings, you can choose to lock Chrome immediately when it starts or after a few minutes of inactivity.

Test It: Close all Chrome windows and reopen the browser. It should now prompt you for your password before letting you see any tabs.
