The Beatles - If I Fell - Guitar Cover - Rickenbacker 360/12c63

There is some very inventive guitar work by George and John on this Hard Day’s Night ballad! George strums out the chords along with John’s acoustic during the intro, playing a Bm7 to add depth to John’s Bm. Two overdubs were added, one after the first verse and a simple D chord to end the song. The overdubs are distinguishable from the George’s original lead guitar track due to their having less treble and they are panned center while the original part is panned hard right. George can be seen playing the first overdub in the middle of the neck in videos from live concerts. John plays an energetic rhythm guitar that was EQed in the original recording to have very little bass and greater presence in the higher frequencies. His rhythm guitar was also panned hard left, adding a greater stereo contrast with George’s lead guitar.
