Trap bar deadlifts are an incredible tool for building strength, mass, and power. This tool is phenomenal because pretty much every level lifter can tackle them with technical proficiency.

One of the main aspects that I love about trap bar deadlifts is how versatile they can be.
You can use a high-handle trap bar deadlift to replicate a hip position that is similar to your barbell deadlift, or a low-handle trap bar deadlift to increase and bias growth with the leg musculature, and those are just two ways you can use this tool.
HOW TO TRAP BAR DEADLIFT
Step 1: Adopt a stance position that is somewhat similar to your conventional barbell deadlift stance, then adjust it accordingly based on what feels best.
Step 2: Grip the middle part of the handles and align the mid-foot with the hands. The goal is to create balance over the mid-foot as you pull.
Step 3: Create a rigid hip and torso position and adopt a bracing strategy that aligns with the weight you're using and your goals at hand.
Step 4: Push through the ground and pull upwards in a vertical-esque path. Think about contracting the quads and glutes as you stand and at lockout.
Step 5: During the descent, break at the hip and knees accordingly to keep the weight over your mid-foot and to perform strong consecutive reps. Your timing will be indicative of the type of bar you're using, your anthropometrics, and what allows you to perform the best.
