Artemis Launch

This video shows the first launch of the Artemis moon progran, Ascent Abort-2. This launch tested the mission abort equipment of the Orion capsule, which is designed to lift the crewed capsule away fromt the massive SLS rocket in the event of a launch failure. The small rockets of the abort system ensure that the crew can escape safely in such an eventuality, by transporting them rapidly a good distance away from the main rocket. During Ascent Abort-2, a specially modified Minotaur IV rocket was used as the primary launch vehicle. The second part of the video is an animated summary explaining the different events that occured during the test.
