A teenager from Mohali, often the smallest player on the court in his school, hustled for every minute he was on the court to boost his skills as a point guard. An 8-inch growth spurt later, the 6'4" Sahaij Pratap Singh Sekhon made his debut for the Indian basketball team as an 18-year old and scored his first basket for India with a soaring two-handed slam dunk. He seemed to play beyond his years, creating space off the dribble for his shot, driving fearlessly to the rim, patiently making plays and hustling all over the floor.
