🔍 Episode Overview:
Early on May 27, 2025, Officer Nicholas Simons saw a Hyundai Sonata. It drove west on St. Charles Road. The car weaved badly near Ardmore Avenue. He turned on his dash camera. The driver swerved again near Michigan Avenue. The car continued swerving. It nearly hit the curb by Emerson Avenue. Before lights, the driver swerved once more. It was between E Division Street and E Washington Boulevard. The car then turned right onto E Washington Boulevard. It hit the curb at the corner. The car stopped on the north curb in Lombard, Illinois.

The driver tried to get out of the car. The officer told her to stay seated. Deputy Szybkowski arrived to help. He asked for her papers. She was Jessica Spencer, age 24. Jessica said she was going home from DeMito’s Saloon. The officer asked about drinking. She admitted she had some drinks. He suspected she was impaired. Jessica was asked to do some tests outside the car.

Officer Simons began the eye test. He watched her eyes. They did not move smoothly. They jerked when looking far. They jerked before reaching the limit. Her eyes did not move up and down. Next, she took the walk and turn test. Jessica did not walk heel-to-toe. She turned the wrong way. She took too many steps. The last test was the one-leg stand. She did not lift her foot correctly. She put her foot down too soon.

Her driving was erratic. She smelled of alcohol. She showed signs of being impaired. She admitted to drinking. She failed the sobriety tests. Officer Simons arrested Jessica for DUI. He put her in handcuffs. She went into the patrol car. He took her to the Villa Park Police Department.

At the station, they read her a warning. Jessica refused to give breath samples. After being processed, she was driven home. She was given tickets for court:

DUI alcohol
Two tickets for improper lane use
Driving with old license plates

Records show Jessica was arrested for DUI before. That was in Addison, Illinois on August 31, 2024.
