The Coke Flip Clock Rebuild

The Coca-Cola flip clock sign. Purchased from eBay in a state that looked as if it had been ripped from a wall, the Coke Flip Clock Sign came to FlipClockFans Studios for a remake or destruction. It was going to go one way or the other. The clock is almost certainly from the 1969-1973 period as evident from the mechanism in the clock (Copal Caslon type imported by Ropat Company).

The clock features one of the most iconic Coca-Cola Logos. In 1969 coke came out with this new logo, now refered to at the "Arden Square" which featured for the first time, the new "Dynamic Ribbon Device" or "White Swirl" beneath the coca-cola script. In was in this era (1971) that the "Hilltop" advertisement came as as well as the first time the famous "It's the Real Thing" slogan was used.
