Manfrotto Pixi Mini Tripod - Watch Before Buying!

I purchased this as a small tabletop tripod from amazon. After only a handful of uses as you can see in the video it self destructed. I did not drop or abuse it. I generally have very good responses from manufacturers but in this case Manfrotto said because I did not buy it from an authorized dealer there was no guarantee. Mind you this was bought from a US based amazon listing and shipped from amazon not a 3rd party. Below is the response I got from Manfrotto. I felt it was worth sharing with others considering purchasing this tripod. Honestly I no longer purchase any Manfrotto products after this and another bad experience with their customer service a long time ago. Spend a little more and get Really Right Stuff, Kirk, Acratech (EXCELLENT CS) or even brands like Neewer which is far less costly for similar quality on many items. I don't understand how Manfrotto has a reputation for being bombproof, I've literally had their stuff fall apart with gentle use.
