Strat Tone & Setup Tips
This video is long. It's worth it.
Today we are talking about Strats, glorious Strats. It's no wonder that so many guitars heroes have chosen a Stratocaster as their weapon of choice. It's one of the most expressive guitars, making it easy to find your own voice.
Today we are looking at ways to make your Strat the best it can be. While Strats are wonderful, they are not always the most intuitive guitars (unlike their Telecaster brethren), and there are a few common gripes often heard about then (don't stay in tune, not enough sustain, etc). Fortunately all of these are easily solved. We will cover everything from neck and bridge setup, to pickups and wiring. So, if you own a Strat, are thinking of owning one, but want to know how to make it play and sound it's best, stay tuned.
This video covers a lot of ground (I probably should have split it into multiple parts), and assumes you have some basic comfort setting up a guitar. If not, there's a ton of resources on YouTube to teach some of the basic skills.
Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe, if you enjoy this type of content.
