Travel Photography Tips - Festivals and celebrations. Gear, practical tips. (What you NEED to know)
Ever wondered what's involved in photographing an amazing festival or event? This travel photography tips video is a special one! It's pretty much a full guide to photographing festivals, celebrations and gatherings.
I recently visited the amazing Qoyor’ritti festival in the Peruvean Andesas. I’ll use this fascinating event as a real life example/case study. What will I talk about? The gear I took and why (I was limited). The main things to look out for. What to avoid? How to show a more complete picture of the festival? How to communicate what everything felt like? What’s the value of establishing a routine? How to choose your images? And much more.
The video was filmed in a few locations in Peru. I'll share parts of my adventure. You’ll even see how I almost killed myself driving over a high mountain pass at night. The main focus, though – is on the travel photography tips and advice. When you finish watching this video, you’ll have a much better idea about photographing festivals, celebrations and gatherings of people. It is almost 30 minutes long, but, I do really believe that it’s worth your time.
