EXHAUSTING THE AIR GUN

Impact wrenches rely on internal mass rotation to break loose seized fasteners rather than applying a continuous twisting force. By delivering rapid, high-torque rotational shocks, the tool cracks through heavy rust and corrosion without putting steady torsional stress on a brittle, hardened bolt shank, which would otherwise snap it instantly.

However, these pneumatic tools require a steady, high-volume air supply to maintain that hitting power. Running an air gun on a depleted compressor tank drops the operating pressure significantly, making the tool sound completely exhausted and severely reducing its torque output. Keeping the air tank filled is essential to keep the internal hammers striking at full strength.
