Understanding Short and Long Vowels
In this video, we will understand why words sound different from each other. The secret is vowels. If one vowel is in a 3 letter word, the sound of the vowel will give a short sound. However, if there are two vowels in a four letter word, the first letter will take on a long sound while the second one is silent. Short vowels words: Hat, peg, pin, got, yum. Long vowel words: pale, meat, pile, mole, mule. Please support our channel by subscribing for more videos.
