New Nail Art Animal Design | step by step | DYI nails | Cute nails designs 2018

Hi everyone!

Welcome to my channel :-)

In this video I show 5 adorable animal nail art designs. These animal designs can be painted on your nails all year round. When I had them on my nails I got many compliments when I was out shopping and my siblings found them super cute. This video will show step by step how to paint a ladybug, panda, black cat, an owl and penguin.
Ladybug

The first animal design is the red ladybug. I had so much fun painting this one. I really home you try this at home. You only need three colours or you can only use two colours: black and red for the ladybug itself. To start off, always clean your nails thoroughly. And to get the nail salon look be sure to use a nail buffer and shine the surface of your nail. Next apply a base coat. The base coat acts as a barrier between your nail and the nail polish. It will help your nail polish last longer but also your nail will not stain. I apply one thin coat of base and let that to dry completely. Then I applied the opaque slightly off white nail polish by essie called "marshmallow". I applied a thin layer and let it dry. I applied two more layers to achieve the look I wanted. You may apply one layer or more than 3 layer depending on the look you're for. One the last layer was dry I started with the ladybugs head. I used the end of my nail art brush to pick up some nail polish. I visually located the pronotum (head) of the ladybug making sure the top of his head was somewhat located at the centre of my nail. I allowed the pronotum of the ladybug to dry. For the two antennas I try to align them then I drew a curved line to connect the dot to the pronotum. once the pronotum and antennas were dry I dotted where i wanted to start and end the elytra (body) of the ladybug. I tried to use a curvature motion and move my finger to aid drawing its body. I let the first layer to dry completely and then applied a second coat. I used my dotting tool and tried to pick up very small quantity of nail polish to have and even size black dots on the elytra (body). Once the dots were dry I applied a top coat to finish.
Panda

As described in the above paragraph I followed the same steps for the base of the panda. Once the base was completely dry I started the head of the panda with white colour. I started to dry its head from left to right, moving my hand and finger to help with drawing the semi-circle. I tired to make sure that the top of panda's head is somewhat located midway on my nail because this way I can have its ears without covering the entire nail with panda's face. While the head was drying I placed the panda's two ears. For the each ear I first place one large dot followed by a small dot. The large dot was created by using the end of my brush and the small dot with the tip of the dotting tool. then I joined the two dots to give a more realistic look to the ears. You may want to just dry one large dot for the ears, that will still look beautiful. The eyes should be placed close to each other to give a cartoonish look because that will make it look cute and adorable. It is very important that for each step you allow the nail polish to dry before proceeding into the next step because it will smudge and look messy. Once the panda's peekaboo look is finished and dried apply a top coat of your choice to seal your design.

Black Cat

This black cat was supper cute! I loved it. next time I will paint the black cat on all of my fingers. it's a perfect Halloween look as well.
You can try so many different background colours for the base and so many different colours for the cat as well!
As described in the first paragraphs for the preparation of the nail art I did the same steps for this nail art as well. For the black cat design the trick is the aim to have the tip of the ears end somewhere mid way in your nails to give a balanced look. After the black cat was dried I finished it off with top coat.

Owl

The owl isn't a conventional colour, specially its beak. I chose the red to create a contrast with it's body. Red and lilac creates a unique colour combination and stands out. This owl is definitely very adorable. If you don't these colours and have a white colour and another colour that is light enough you can use. You can use mix the colour with white and draw that colour for it's head and the back ground colour then apply the colour as the body. Always finish your design with a top coat to seal your work and avoid premature chipping.

Penguin

Isn't that penguin adorable! I love penguins, specially the way the walk. So to start off the design, follow the steps mentioned in the first paragraph under the ladybug to prepare the base and background of the penguin. When you draw the head try to have its tip not go past the mid point in your nail to create that peekaboo look - that makes it very cute.
