The IMPRESSIVE 2023 Toyota Prius! Best Selling Hybrid!

The Toyota Prius is associated with being efficient, sensible and quite roomy, but unfortunately when it comes to looks, it’s not so good. Well, at least until now. The automaker Toyota recently pulled the wraps off the redesigned all new 2023 Prius, and for once, the eco warrior's favorite hybrid does not look like any basic car. So what are the latest features of the all-new 2023 Toyota Prius? Is it going to be worth the price? Let's find out.
Every new car tries to be quicker and better-looking than its predecessor, but it would have taken little for Toyota to make such claims about the all new 2023 Toyota Prius. For many years, being slow and ugly has always been the Prius's thing, and that is not even meant as a knock against it. Slow and ugly worked for the Prius model, a sales hit for many decades and even won one of the 10 Best awards in 2004. However, the quintessential mass-market hybrid has fallen out of favor recently among buyers and C/D staffers.

The all new 2023 Toyota Prius looks way better than before boasting a striking and beautiful design for the first time in its five-generation run. Riding on Toyota's TNGA-C platform, the new 2023 Prius is lower and broader than before, boasts greatly improved power, and still returns the impressive fuel economy consumers have come to expect. The all new 2023 Toyota Prius looks like it will bring stiff competition to other compact hybrids like the Kia Niro and Hyundai Elantra Hybrid.

The thoroughly reworked fifth-gen 2023 Prius appears to be just the right antidote. Significantly more powerful than before, it will even offer slightly better fuel economy and add many new features, which will include solar panels and a hands-free driving feature.

Just like the Prius' predecessors, the all new 2023 Prius' powertrain pairs a four-cylinder engine which will be paired with an electric motor. The new 2023 Prius Prime will feature a plug-in component, and it will also be covered separately. Also, the engine will grow in displacement from 1.8 to 2.0 liters, but even more notable is that a more advanced lithium-ion unit finally replaces the nickel hydride battery pack. That means more energy density as well as a smaller, lighter pack.

Now, in practical terms, these major improvements mean that the 2023 Toyota Prius gets a massive bump in power. Last year's fourth-generation Prius produced a total of 121 horsepower between the engine and motor, and while the new one makes a more appealing 194 horsepower in front-wheel-drive guise.

The Japanese automaker has said that the FWD Prius can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds, and with its AWD version clocking in at 7.0 seconds flat. That is much quicker than the 10.7-second time managed by the current model. Going for all-wheel drive, output will slightly rise up to 196 horsepower.
Amazingly, the newfound performance in the all new 2023 Prius does not come at the expense of fuel economy. The automaker has estimated the entry-level LE model will achieve 57 mpg in the EPA's combined cycle, also 1 mpg bump from today's base L Eco trim. Now, the higher trim levels with larger wheels will most likely have a bit lower mpg.

Moreover, to complement the standard Prius hybrid, Toyota has introduced an all-new version of the Prius Prime that shares its sibling's great new design. Electric-only range increases to about 37 miles, and total output improves by nearly 100 horsepower for a total of 220 horsepower.

The Prius Prime will be the quickest of the Prius range, with a Toyota-claimed 0-60 mph time of 6.6 seconds. Even though Toyota equips distinctive wheels, a straightforward taillight design, as well as a sportier-looking interior, the Prius Prime shares most of its tech and safety features with its conventional hybrid stablemate.

The automaker will offer the 2023 Prius in three trims: LE, XLE, and Limited.

The LE trim will have 17-inch alloy wheels with wheel covers, an 8 inch infotainment, six USB-C ports, with an electronic parking brake, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert

The XLE trim will come with 19-inch alloy wheels, digital rearview mirror, two more cup holders for rear passengers, eight-way power driver's seat, synthetic leather seating, rain-sensing wipers, with keyless entry, wireless charging, and also parking sensors with automatic braking.
