'War Movies' Top 10 Greatest Military Classics (You Need To Watch)

We've put together a list of 10 classic war movies, and by 'classic' I mean films that are at least 30 years old. The list is not intended to represent the all-time GREATEST war movies; it's more a collection of my favourite old school war films, which younger war film fans might have missed.

The list includes brilliant movies like 'COME AND SEE'(1985); a disturbing war film from the former Soviet Union that is largely unknown in the West. I consider COME AND SEE the finest piece of war cinema to have come from Eastern Europe during the Cold War era.

I've also added British classics like 'ICE COLD IN ALEX' the 1958 British war film set during the Western Desert Campaign of the Second World War, starring John Mills and the stunning Sylvia Syms.

This list is by no means definitive; I'm pretty sure that many of you out there reading this will have your own personal favourites. So I'd love to hear from you about any other old war films, which we might be able to add to our next video.
