Book Launch: The Language Teacher Education Casebook
Join us for a book launch talk by Dr. Gary Barkhuizen, whose latest casebook brings together seventy dilemma-based narrative cases that offer a comprehensive overview of key topics in language education. The volume features narratives from language teachers, learners, teacher educators, researchers, administrators, and other professionals working in a variety of educational settings, including schools, universities, private language institutions, informal contexts, and multilingual environments worldwide. These cases illustrate current theoretical principles through moral and practical dilemmas that invite readers to engage in reflection and problem-solving. Accompanied by discussion questions, research suggestions, and reading resources, as well as a facilitator guide for classroom and online use, this book provides a rich resource for both pre-service and in-service language teachers seeking to deepen their understanding of the field.
