In 1996, Michael Flatley assembled the greatest team of Irish dancers the world had ever seen. Many of them left their jobs to take a chance on Michael; they believed in him when no one else did, and they had only ten weeks to build a show -- or the dream would die forever.

The show: LORD OF THE DANCE.

It worked.

The 1996 OG Troupe are the rock stars of the Irish dance world. They achieved the impossible: the billion-dollar dance show.

No one has seen them perform for years. In some cases, decades.

Now, at last -- they return.

This video is dedicated to the medical personnel and essential front-line services keeping us all safe. They are the true heroes, and it is for them that we assemble now and pay tribute.
