Living with Tourette's: How my Disability Became my Strength | Brian To | TEDxUCR

Brian To has Tourrettes and he knows what it's all about and shares his inspiring story. "It’s all about is the little things in life that build up to make this a special journey. The little frustrations, the little cries, the little failures."

Brian K. To ‘17 grew up in Los Angeles, CA and currently studies Psychology at the University of California, Riverside with plans to pursue a career assisting the disability community. Brian works as a Youth Employment & Opportunity Program Specialist, and provides services to support at-risk youth to assist them in achieving their educational and vocational goals. At UCR, Brian has served on the board and held executive officer positions on various organizations, including the Student Disability Union and Rhythm&Brains Music Service Organization. Some of his hobbies include playing basketball, practicing piano, and learning to cook. Brian is not only thankful for the loved ones who have supported him throughout his journey, but also the peers who have doubted his abilities, ideas, and dreams. He believes they have all helped shape the person he is today and strives to become.
