Benjamin Millepied - Masterclass "Space and Creation"

In French, a principal dancer is called a "danseur (or danseuse) étoile", literally a "star dancer". On all accounts, the first guest of this season’s Rendez-vous de la Création is a star: Benjamin Millepied.

A former principal dancer at the New York City Ballet, he was Directeur de la Danse at the Paris Opera Ballet. He is the founder and director of the L.A. Dance Project, a company with which he is currently presenting a spectacular Romeo and Juliet.

On September 28th, dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied took the Chapsal stage to talk with students about his creative process, mixing choreographies with movies and the profound relationship between a dance company and its surrounding communities.
