Beyond the North Wind

Introducing his new book, Beyond the North Wind, British author Dr. Christopher McIntosh will explore the mysteries and mystique of the North from ancient times to the present day. Highlights of his illustrated talk will include:

Evidence for Hyperborea, a vanished promised land in the north polar region;
Shamanism as part of the northern legacy;
The runes and their deeper meaning;
The Vikings, their religion, literature, technical achievements and cultural legacy;
Iceland, birthplace of the Nordic Pagan revival;
The Hyperborean movement in Russia, and its influence on the arts;
The Nordic gods in modern literature, films and computer games.
Signed copies of Christopher's book will be available. Light refreshments will be served.

About the speaker:

Christopher McIntosh was born in Britain, spent four years in the United States and now lives in Germany. His work includes books on the western esoteric traditions including The Astrologers and their Creed (1969); Eliphas Lévi and the French Occult Revival (1972); The Rosicrucians (latest edition 1997); The Rose Cross and the Age of Reason (1992); The Swan King: Ludwig II of Bavaria (latest edition 2003); and Gardens of the Gods (2005). His fictional work includes the occult novel Return of the Tetrad (2013), the spy thriller The Lebensborn Spy (2017) and the short story collections Master of the Starlit Grove (2014), The Wyrde Garden (2015) and The Sorceress of Agartha (2017).
