Here is a quick and simple demonstration video on how to replace the battery in your BMW iX. This one is out of a M60. This video is also good for another other model where the fob looks similar to this one. You do not need any tools at all! All you need is a fresh replacement battery and 1 minute of your time. As I've shown in the video, you will need to press the button on the back side then slide the metal piece forward. Then you can use your mechanical key that is stored inside to pry out the battery tray. Remove the dead 2032 and place the new one in + side facing down. Close it all back up and you're all set!
