Wolverine Worldwide Acquires UK-Based Sweaty Betty in $410M Deal

Footwear company Wolverine Worldwide has acquired the UK-based athleisure brand and Lululemon competitor Sweaty Betty in a $410 million deal. Wolverine Worldwide CEO Blake Krueger joined Cheddar’s Closing Bell to discuss the acquisition and why it was a good fit for the company.

He noted that Wolverine is looking to grow its premium activewear options for women and expand the brand’s presence in the U.S. and globally.
