I have had this kit in my stash quite a while. After this mainstream model by KP have been released, before this the only option would be Matchbox one. I wanted this to be very worn silver painted plane from Malaysia 1948. I didn't find many pictures, but some and I used pictures from Mk.VI with this similar paint scheme and written descriptions.
As I have worked with newer and mainstream kits recently the plane looked quite plain as it didn't have any rivets. I also thought that worn look would benefit if I rivet the whole plane. This was quite a task, but I think it looks nice at the end. Plane goes together as expected, some work has to be done with resin to get fit inside of all. Cockpit is really nice and it is pity that it is so tight, you can't really see it. Vacuform canopy was not good especially when it was yellowed, but luckily there is Rob-Taurus vacuform for Academy that fits perfectly. After all although I liked the model I wouldn't make this kit again because there is KP version available.
