Can You Spot a Fake Tudor? // Attack of the clones! // Tudor Black Bay Harrods 79230G
You have saved up your hard earned cash and decided you want to buy a Tudor Black Bay Harrods edition only to find out there is a waitlist at Harrods.
Your impatient and you want the watch now!! You don't mind paying a little over retail so go looking on auction sites and forums and find one.
Would you be able to spot the difference?
Hopefully this video will help you avoid getting sold a replica.
If you can only buy from an authorised dealer (or a highly reputable reseller)
This video is for educational purposes, please do not ask where to buy replicas, your comments will be deleted.
Checkpoints
1. Bezel Movement - Should be firm and no play
2. Clasp Fitting - Should be easy to remove but firm
3. Clasp engraving - Should be deep and not laser etched
4. Crown engraving - thick black lines not light
5. Rear engraving - refined finish no rough edges
6. Harrods logo - Should be centrally aligned
7. Crown Gasket - Should be visible by about 3mm
8. Bezel Colour - Should be a darker green (harder to tell unless side by side)
9. Bracelet Links - Refined brushed links, very little spacing on end details
