The 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor is the largest off road pick up truck you can buy in the Philippines today. Its taller, wider, and brawnier than its Wildtrak sibling, but its smaller than the F150 Raptor in the States.

This beast of a super truck is my dream pickup truck, coming in fully kitted out from the factory. It's tuned for high speed offroad racing, particularly desert runs in baja mode. This off road machine may be a beast, but it also has good manners on the road. In this review, I go through its features then take it out for a drive on paved roads. The Raptor is civilized on paved streets, but we chanced upon a road that had large speed bumps and took the chance to make the Ranger Raptor fly on those speed bumps. It was so fun, that my sturdy camera mounts even fell off due to the impact. This not a workhorse ute, but more of a performance super truck. it belongs to the lifestyle truck category. Ford Philippines sells this at a hair below P2 million, which is a steal compared to our Asian neighbors. They sell it higher in Ford Thailand or even in Ford Australia, where this pick up truck was designed. The 4 cylinder biturbo diesel engine is adequate in performance, despite the Ranger Raptor weighing at more than 2 tonnes.
