Here is a walkthrough Of an abandoned nuclear missile site. Home to 3 USA Thor Missiles and 269 sqn.
We recently have been to RAF Ludford Magma witch was connected to this base as 1 of 5 identical nuclear sites with Thor missiles.
Apparently as we was told the war heads where stored at RAF Hemswell in a secured ammunition’s store and brought to the site by road with a huge armed guard by road.
Parts of this place in this video have become a farm and buildings added.
The fire station and a couple of small buildings and part of the main building not all of it are the original RAF buildings left from the Cold War..
