Wine Country Birthday Celebration | Sonoma Birthday | Sonoma Wine Tasting | Napa Birthday

We had such a great time hanging out with the Peorian Ladies (They were originally from Peoria, Illinois) in Wine Country to celebrate Carlota and Jenn’s Birthdays. The ladies wanted us to take them to a couple of wineries of our choosing to taste wine, admire the fall foliage, and celebrate the two ladies Birthdays. We chose two Wineries in the Sonoma Valley that provided a unique venue and can accommodate a group of 13 people.
The first Winery we went to was Bartholomew Winery. The winery was recognized by the San Francisco Chronicle as one of the 15 most beautiful wineries in Napa and Sonoma. They did not disappoint. We did our group wine tasting under the majestic oak trees on the Oak Knoll Tasting Area over looking the vineyards. The wines were delicious and their staff were very knowledgeable and courteous. What we like about Bartholomew Winery is that you can have a picnic at Bartholomew Park next to the winery. Dina and I set up a picnic for the ladies complete with a Charcuterie Board, Breads and crackers, and sandwiches in an area that provided the best view of the vineyards. It was an amazing setting which you can see on the video.
The second winery we chose was Deerfield Ranch Winery. We selected this winery because of it’s unique wine tasting venue…Wine tasting was done in a cave, 90 feet below the hillside and complete with wine barrels as your backdrop. Our wine expert Tom was very knowledgeable, providing information on the wine cave, their style of wines, and the type of wines we were tasting.
The wines were delicious and the ladies had such a great time. Who else can say…”We tasted wine and danced in a wine cave!” See for yourself.
It was a wonderful day spent with great people that really know how to have a wonderful time together.
