Gorillaz: Geep Simulator / Final Drive (2001, Shockwave)

Probably one of the most popular browser games of the early 2000s. There was not much to the game looking back at it. But for a simple browser game it was fine and actually pretty cool for its time. It very likely introduced many people to Gorillaz. The sound in the menu screen of the game was disabled to prevent the video being blocked in some countries.

Gorillaz: Geep Simulator is a small sandbox driving game based on the music video for the Gorillaz song "19/2000". In the game the player controls the Gorillaz' Geep with the arrow keys and space bar on their keyboard. The player can drive around an open level based on the music video while the song itself plays on a loop in the background. If the player happens to get stuck on their roof the game will automatically right the Geep back onto it's wheels. The player can reset to the starting position by clicking the "restart game" button in the top right.
