2006 Dodge Caravan Rear AC evaporator Blockoff Easy air conditioner fix

The Dodge Caravan AC is known for one thing.. FAILING. Most of the time if your AC stops working on a 2002 to 2008 Dodge Caravan it is because it lost all its refrigerent due to a faulty rear evaporator. It is a well known problem and any Caravan I have every seen has had this problem.
The best fix is to replace the rear evaporator and hope it goes more than 2 years before the problem happens again. It will be anywhere from $1000 tp $1500 to have a garage do the work. Or you can do it yourself for under $400... but it is a PITA and it will last a few years and just have the same problem.

For us shade tree mechanics and cheap people the best fix is to just block the rear ac off. Keep in mind that the front AC will not cool the van as good as having a twin system.
