Russians are questioning whether Putin can really protect them

“Lots of Russian citizens I think are thinking, can the government really protect us?”

Putin is “under strain” as “nervous cracks” start to show among Russian citizens after many regions chose not to hold Victory Day parades, says Professor David Lewis from the University of Exeter.
