Manual Wheelchair Skills Test Before Training (without caregiver) | User Simulating Person with SCI

This video shows the full Manual Wheelchair Skills Test Version 5.0 (WST 5.0) with a wheelchair user who has not yet received wheelchair skills training. There is no caregiver present in this test. The video contains an able-bodied subject who is simulating a person with a spinal cord injury (SCI).

WARNING: Many wheelchair skills can be dangerous to perform. We strongly advise against attempting them, at least initially, without the presence of at least one knowledgeable and skilled spotter such as a therapist. A spotter is a person whose role is to ensure safety.
