Bottle Digging- Basement bottles

I went out with the idea of metal detecting a site I had dug before. It's an old house site nearby and I had hopes of finding civil war buttons, bullets and a few other camp related items. But, due to the weather conditions (high winds and rain) it would not have made a good video. Flat out...I was miserable. It just goes to show that, some days, the best laid plans go to waste.

With the intention of digging to the bottom of a rubble pile in a foundation to reach good dirt to sift, I stumbled upon these bottles. Protected by the foundation, I was able to make this into a pretty cool bottle dig video. I never expected it out of the day! Sometimes when those things happen, you have to rethink what you are doing and adapt to the situation.

I guess it goes to show you that you never know until you look. Always take chances and have fun, even on the hardest of days.
