The Curse of Odin | God Of War Ragnarok

The Binding Spell
Odin placed a curse on Freya, binding her to the tree in her home realm, Vanirheim, in exchange for her freedom from Baldur's fate.
To evade the curse, Freya was forced to take on a falcon form, losing her true body and her capacity to fight.
Breaking the Curse
Freya and Kratos travel to Vanirheim to confront Odin and the powerful dragon Níðhöggr, who guards the roots of the World Tree.
Following the battle with Níðhöggr, Freya is able to assume her true, fully corporeal form, freeing herself from the falcon form that had been binding her to the tree.
After the Release
With her curse lifted, Freya makes peace with Kratos and joins him, along with his son Atreus, to prepare for the final assault against Odin and Asgard.
She becomes a powerful ally to Kratos, leading her own Shield Maidens in the war and assisting in the ultimate defeat of Odin.
