Why Didn't Palpatine Allow Grievous To Fight Anakin Skywalker?

The Clone Wars was, to a great extent, meticulously engineered to sway Anakin Skywalker towards the dark side, a move that Palpatine thought would hinder him from realizing the chosen one prophecy and restoring balance to the force. To this end, he manipulated pawns like Dooku to test the young Anakin, aiming to push him toward the dark side. Grievous, however, was different. Unlike Dooku, Grievous was a beast that couldn't be tamed. Palpatine harbored some degree of fear towards General Grievous, with his lack of force sensitivity and perpetual anger making him a challenging subject for Palpatine to dominate. As a result, Palpatine withheld the cybernetic general from dueling Anakin Skywalker, apprehensive that Grievous might inadvertently eliminate his most valuable asset.
