The size and length of wire to use depends on the shape and size of the Fishbone you want to make.

With Fishbone length of about 3 - 7cm, can be used : the main wire 20 gauge - 18 gauge (0.8 - 1mm ) diameter and the bone wire 26 gauge - 22 gauge (0.4 - 0.6mm )

In the video I use:
18 gauge ( wire diameter 1mm ) : 15cm( 6 inch)
24 gauge ( wire diameter 0.5mm ) : 50cm( 20 inch)

You can use a hammer and anvil to flatten wire, increase the rigidity of the product
You can use it as pendant, earring, key chain or decorate.
