The Night I was BITTEN by a VENOMOUS SNAKE

This is the full video of the night I was bitten by a venomous Cotton mouth. The night started off really well with us seeing our first snake fairly quick. After seeing a ring neck and a ribbon snake we came across a snake on the shoulder of the dirt road. When I first spotted the snake my response was that it was a cotton mouth but as I got closer for some reason I identified it as a banded water snake. it was just before dark right a twilight and the lighting was not ideal. I reached down to grab the snake and at that point he bit me. Still thinking it was a banded I was not concerned as the bite was not painful at all.

I quickly realized that in fact it was a cotton mouth and that I had been bitten. The bite occurred at 8:27 pm . We quickly jumped in the truck and headed to the nearest E.R. Within 20 minutes we arrived the E.R. Once we walked in things started happening very quickly. Within the 20 minutes it took me to drive to the E.R my hand had started to swell and the pain was starting to set in. It literally felt like my hand was being crushed in a machine. While I was at the check in they had already called for the Anti venom and shortly after being admitted I was receiving my first dose. I would end up receiving 10 vials of CroFab anti venom .
