Freightliner Class 66 Number 66602 In Heavy Haul Rail Livery Passing Steethouse Crossing

Freightliner Class 66 number 66602 built by General Motors (EMD) in 2000 in Canada, 66602 is a Co-Co "Shed" diesel-electric locomotive designed for heavy haul freight. Powered by a 12-cylinder EMD 12N-710G3B-EC engine, it produces a total unit power output of 3,200 hp (2,400 kW) with a starting tractive effort of 467 kN. This single-unit locomotive measures 21.35 metres, features a 65 mph top speed, and weighs approximately 127 tonnes. Currently operated by Freightliner, 66602 is an unnamed member of the fleet and carries the classic Freightliner Heavy Haul livery, serving as a high-profile member of the fleet used for heavy oil, cement, and stone traffic across the UK.
