2026 06 Office Clients MONTHLY SIGNAL EN
Office feels different again this month — and Message Center will only explain it afterwards.
This is the part of the M365 wave that lands directly in users’ hands: OneDrive, Word, Excel, Outlook. Small shifts, predictable outcome: “did something change?” tickets in your queue.
Key shifts in June:
▪️Microsoft 365 Apps policies are being consolidated: future configuration will move from Intune to the Microsoft 365 Apps admin center, so tenants should review where they manage Office app settings and plan the migration of existing policies.
▪️Cloud Update for Microsoft 365 Apps is gaining simplified channel management: profile and update channel assignment will be unified and existing update profiles auto‑migrated, reducing complexity when moving devices between channels.
▪️A licensing certificate for Microsoft 365 Apps on macOS and iOS expires on 13 July 2026; devices not updated to the required versions will drop into read‑only (unlicensed) mode until updated, so Mac/iOS fleets need patch plans now.
Not a feature update. A behaviour change users will feel first.
🗓 Rolling now → June 2026
The MONTHLY SIGNAL is our MVP-run highlight from the TECH BRIEF — one workload per month, for admins who prefer planning over firefighting.
If you prefer fewer “two weeks too late” moments, take a look inside for a month: changecockpit.ch
