This project showcases SparshPyroscope – an intelligent thermal monitoring and protection system developed for real-time industrial applications aligned with Industry 4.0 and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) concepts. The system integrates Raspberry Pi processing, MLX90640 thermal imaging sensor, PLC-based control logic, and SCADA visualization to continuously monitor temperature variations, detect hotspots, and trigger automated protection mechanisms. By enabling real-time data acquisition, analysis, and decision-making, the system ensures early fault detection, minimizes downtime, and enhances industrial safety through smart and connected automation.
The project was carried out during an internship at Servilink Systems Ltd., Vadodara, in collaboration with the Instrumentation & Control (IC) Department of Dharmsinh Desai University (DDU). It demonstrates the practical implementation of IIoT-enabled smart monitoring, PLC-SCADA integration, and predictive maintenance strategies used in modern industrial environments. This solution reflects the core principles of Industry 4.0 by combining sensing, communication, and automation technologies to create a scalable, cost-effective, and intelligent system for next-generation smart factories.
