EXPLORING WW2 Tunnels (Equipment dated 1941!)

A look into the underground tunnels in Longbridge where 10,000 people used to work during WW2 producing planes, tanks and ammunition.

This is by far one of the best tunnels systems i have visited with old equipment dating back to 1942 still in the tunnels. The tunnels were built during WW2 when rapid rearmament of Britain was underway to protect vital manufacturing from being bombed by the Nazi's. These tunnels were later used as storage when the above factories started making normal cars again, they now lie derelict since the car making company went into administration in 2005.
