Skimboarding World Championship 2019 laguna beach THE VIC

Very happy for my Brazilian friend Lucas who took first place in this years skimboarding contest in laguna beach and the first ever international rider in 43 years of contest history to do so. I was stoked to be the first rider outside of laguna beach and from the East Coast to win this contest in 2016 and the world tour in 2013. Although I'm not focusing on contests as much lately, I do my best out there and still stoked to make it through 6 rounds of heats and take the podium! Especially after coming off the flu. I actually had a fever the next day after the contest and am still recovering from being sick. The level of talent in skimboarding blows me away every time i participate in a contest. It's amazing to see everyone pulling off 8-9 point rides in waves we wouldn't normally consider worth skimming. Hope you guys enjoy this video!
