Wilderness Survival and Shelter Building | Chad & Bentley

Bentley has been asking for some time to get into the woods, take nothing but a loin cloth and pocket knife, and see how well we survive. He has watched too much Bear Grylls and told me it would be fun and easy. I didn’t fall for it. I told him I would meet him in the middle, so I brought my 4-inch thick sleeping pad, a down pillow, a full set of clothes, and some ready-to-eat meals in case we didn’t trap anything or catch any fish. Oh, me of little faith. Bentley led the way and together we built a shelter that truly kept us dry even though it rained and we caught enough fish to eat for a month… if we took very small bites. If I ever have to survive in the wild, I now know I only need one thing… Bentley (I know he is not a thing). #Camping #CranePrairieReservoir #Survival #TheBigSkiFamily
