1995 LT1 Corvette Water Pump and Opti seals

Click "Show More" below to read everything I have to say about this particular video. Thanks
Yup, another youtube video of the LT1 Seal Replacement process! I show MY technique for removing the old seals...I found this pretty darn simple so I thought I would share. I did buy the $25 tool like most others did and it is definitely important to use this tool or a device with the same design or you could have an epic failure.

These are the seals that are installed to the Timing Chain Cover and they seal the Water Pump impeller shaft and also the Opti. The Tool used for the Water Pump seal is highly recommended as it is designed to properly "form" the inner (black) seal otherwise you take the chance of rolling that seal under itself.

It's note worthy to say that all LT1 gasket kits aren't universal so make sure you get the one proper for your year, make, model.

***During the portion of the video where I apply grease to slide the install tool over a rubber ring...I probably worked harder than I needed to. The Fel-Pro kit supplies 2 small O-rings and I can only assume one was to replace this rubber ring (it's not a standard o-ring, it has square edges) BUT I didn't want to mess with it, I was unsure if a new o-ring would function the same as the existing ring so I just left it alone and worked around it. It's not on there as a seal so no harm done either way.
