A long roadtrip of 19,5 kilometres carries me to the basilica of MEERSSEN. Then it is only a short walk of 7 kilometres, which takes us to the village of RAAR, on altitude, to the magnificent WATERVAL.

A pictoresque Dutch mountain village, totally surrounded by high slopes. It lies in a valley bowl. The route doesn't take me to the village down below yet if there is time on this last warmer day of May, I may just explore.

Furthermore I cross the estate of LANDGOED VLIEK, with its forest and streams, and head back to HUNNECUM and MEERSSEN
