Delivery of MiG-25RBS to the Aviation Museum in Tartu (Estonia), May 2016 /МиГ-25РБС в музее в Тарту

In spring 2016, the MiG-25RBS was delivered from Helsinki to Tallinn by ferry, and from there оn May 6 on two trailers to Tartu. This aircraft once served in East Germany, and then transferred to the Riga Higher Military Aviation Flight School. After Latvia gained formal independence, became its property and in 1996 was sold to Finnish aviation enthusiast Mikhael Oja, who spent a lot of work for its preservation for 20 years, after which he sold the aircraft to the museum, having received guarantees that the aircraft will be properly cared for. Thus, the MiG-25 made an overland trip to three former Swedish possessions, two of which Russia bought from Sweden, and took the third for free.

In the frame, the founder and director of the museum, Mati Meos, and Mikael Oja, who escorted his steel friend to Tartu.

The black-and-white photo shows presumably this same plane in Soviet times. In the following photos - in Finland, at the Tampere airfield
