How the Cottingley Fairies Photographs Were Made
The photographs of fairies taken in Cottingley, Bradford, were made by two young girls, Frances Griffiths and Elsie Wright. Find out how they made the photographs that fooled Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Dr Merrick Burrow (University of Huddersfield), curator of the upcoming exhibition ‘The Cottingley Fairies: A Study in Deception’ at the Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery, University of Leeds, explains.
